Before afternoon practice on the second day of the camp, according to the documents, a varsity lineman ordered one of the junior varsity players to stand in front of his bed and pull down his underpants. When the boy hesitated, the lineman told him he'd be beaten if he didn't do it.
Another varsity player already had a broomstick, the handle smeared with mineral ice, the paper reported.
When the boy struggled, two other varsity athletes, including one of the team's co-captains, held him down, the documents obtained by the newspaper said.
That was just the start of it, though, according to the report.
The next day, the senior captain used duct tape to rip the hair off the boy's legs, eyebrows and armpits. Then, he gave the tape to one of the juniors, who used it on the boy's pubic hair, the documents obtained by Newsday said.
The three admitted attackers then ordered another junior varsity athlete to sodomize the boy with a broomstick, threatening to do the same to him if he refused, the newspaper reported.
Though the second junior varsity player complied, the three attackers sodomized him anyway, first with a pinecone covered with mineral ice. Then, using the broomstick, they sodomized him with a golf ball.
Another senior, the bunk captain in that cabin, reportedly told police he was in the cabin and couldn't bear to watch.
But like others who were aware of what was going on, he did not come forward to stop the assaults and only talked to authorities after their investigation began.
