1. 10 Most Soul-Killing, Dangerous, Underpaid, Going-Nowhere Jobs For 2014
Lumberjacks aren’t cutting it. That’s according to CareerCast.com, which says being a tree-feller is the absolute worst, most going-nowhere job of any in the U.S. It’s also dangerous and underpaid. The site’s annual ranking of 200 different vocations across North America was released today.

2. Hundreds Missing After Ferry Sinks off South Korea's Coast
Nearly 300 people are missing and at least two are confirmed dead after a ferry carrying 459 people, many of them students, sank in cold waters off South Korea’s southern coast Wednesday.

3. Man Charged After Suspicious Bags Found Near Boston Marathon Finish Line
A man was charged Tuesday with possession of a hoax device, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace after two suspicious bags were found near the finish line of the Boston Marathon amid stepped-up security on the anniversary of the bombings that shook the city a year ago.

4. Investigators: Car Accident Killed SD Girls Missing Since 1971
Two South Dakota girls on their way to an end-of-school-year party at a gravel pit in May 1971 drove off a country road and into a creek where their remains lay hidden until last fall when a drought brought their car into view, authorities said Tuesday.

5. A Few Sample SAT Questions From the New Exam
The College Board released on Wednesday sample tests showing the biggest changes to the SAT college admissions test in a decade. The draft questions are intended to give the public a sampling of the changes for the spring 2016 exam, giving high school students time to prepare for changes like an optional essay, limited use of a calculator, and no more "obscure" vocabulary words.
