A Washington man’s cement home is still standing after surviving a raging wildfire that passed his home and scorched acres of surrounding land.

John Belles said he was prepared for the inevitability of a wildfire when he built his thin-shelled, concrete dome in 1999 surrounded by dry fields in Okanogan County.

2. French Train Attack Eyewitness Describes Moment When Suspect Shot Fellow Passenger

An eyewitness on the Paris-bound high-speed train where a gunman armed with an automatic rifle, a pistol and a box cutter unleashed an attack described the harrowing moments when the gunman opened fire.

“I literally and I know it’s going to sound cliché but I literally saw my life flash before my eyes," American passenger Christina Coons told ABC News. "The moment that the gunshots occurred and I saw a man bloody like fall to the floor I thought to myself, I may die today.”

3. Chinese Stocks Tumble Again as Other Asian Markets Rebound

Chinese stocks tumbled again Tuesday after their biggest decline in eight years while most other Asian markets rebounded from a day of heavy losses.

The mixed picture comes after a tumultuous day on Wall Street, where the Dow Jones industrial average ended down 3.6 percent after trimming much bigger losses. European markets were also hit badly. Analysts said it was unclear whether this was a sign the worst was over, or a reprieve in a longer-term bear market.

4. Atlanta Home Invasion Victim Prayed to God After Being Shot

The Atlanta man who was shot when his home was invaded just as he and his wife had returned from a vacation said he remembers praying out loud, telling God he expected to meet him that day.

Mike Lash said he prayed.

“Lord, this is, I guess, the moment I will meet you today … if it is not your will, I am ready to stay,” he said.

Parents Sam and Nia Rader of Terrell, Texas, became viral vlogging sensations after Sam posted a video surprising his wife with the news that she was pregnant.

They join a growing number of families who are sharing every moment of their lives -- from labor pains and birthing moments to potty training -- on YouTube and in some cases, turning a profit from it.

But some say the Raders and other parents like them are taking it too far, overexposing their children and oversharing the good, the bad and the ugly family moments.
