We're gonna begin this half hour that new scandal for officers in charge of the nation's nuclear forces -- nearly three dozen officers have been removed from duty for cheating or allowing others to cheat on exams. It's just the latest black eye for the air force and with. ABC's Molly hunter. Nuclear missiles drinking and drug use and now cheating. It's the latest scandal rocking. Staffing -- controls the nation's nuclear arsenal thirty for a launch officers stripped of their authority it happened last summer announced an air force base in Montana seventeen officers cheated on their monthly recently. -- -- The remaining complicit and knew about this is absolutely unacceptable behavior. The Air Force's top two officials revealed the scandal Wednesday afternoon it is completely contrary to our core values in the air force and -- everybody here knows the number one core value for us is integrity. The cheating was discovered amid an ongoing drug abuse investigation involving eleven officers. Serious allegations and job requires precision and this is terribly important because there is no room for mistakes -- nuclear weapons questionable behavior is becoming a pattern. In December a senior nuclear commander was fired for drinking too much during a conference in Moscow. In October we learn that four air force officers were disciplined they fell asleep on nuclear blast security doors were left open.
