The intense gun battle between police and an armed suspect led doing nearly nine -- standoff. With the gunman barricaded inside this Inglewood California home this sounded -- Miami. Some type of automatic weapon we do have information that there may be long haul. Teachers and side it all started Wednesday afternoon when neighbors say the gunman showed up at his girlfriend's house. This man who did not want to be identified says his nephew managed to escape the home and called 911. The political -- -- a -- -- -- -- -- -- officers approached the house they came under heavy fire captured on his cell phone. One officer was hit his bulletproof vest saved his life and a second officer was injured. As back up arrived on scene you concede the wounded officers being carried away from the barrage of bullets. Investigators say the suspect also yelled out the window he was willing to die for his crime. A lot. The hostages were released unharmed. The officer who was shot in his bulletproof vest was hospitalized with a significant injury but the bullet did not penetrate his chest. Brandy hit ABC news Los Angeles.
