Zoo Rhino Named After Boy Rescued From Ala. Bunker

A baby rhino at the Montgomery, Ala., zoo has been named Ethan after the Alabama boy who was taken hostage in a bunker in February.

WSFA-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1a1ubxm) that Ethan is the first rhino calf born in a U.S. zoo to survive and thrive after being conceived by artificial insemination.

The boy, Ethan Gilman, was rescued from the bunker by an FBI hostage rescue team after a six-day standoff in Midland City in February. During the rescue, officers killed Jimmy Lee Dykes, who was accused of fatally shooting a bus driver, kidnapping the boy and holding him in the bunker rigged with explosive devices.
