WWII Veteran Marries for First Time at 99; Bride is 86

Gilbert Herrick is 99 years old and a newlywed for the first time. He says he never got married before because he couldn't find the right woman -- until he met 86-year-old Virginia Hartman. The World War II veteran from western New York recently married the widowed mother of five. He told the Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester that they first met last year in a hall at Monroe Community Hospital, the nursing home where they both live.
