New York Becomes Largest State to Pass Gay Marriage

Same sex couples will soon be able to head to the altar in New York. The state legalized gay marriage late Friday night prompting gay marriage street celebrations in the streets of New York City. In a down-to-the-wire vote, New York's Republican-controlled senate narrowly passed a marriage equality bill by just four votes -- 33 to 29.
