Wang's sister, Miao Miao, mother, Chuan Yun, and father, Wang Zhao Shu, at the dinner table back home. In a country with a one-child policy, Wang's parents had to pay a fine to have his younger sister. It cost them around $150, more than a month's pay at the time.
