Tsunami Warning: Sirens Put Hawaii on Alert Ahead of Waves

Hawaii remains on alert for destructive tsunami waves triggered by Chile's early morning 8.8-magnitude earthquake. The first wave was expected to hit the Big Island by 11:19 a.m. local time, 4:19 p.m. ET, but that time has passed without unusually large wave activity measured along Hawaii's shores. Hawaii Gov.
