Jan. 21, 2010— -- Former presidential hopeful John Edwards came clean today, admitting that he fathered a child with Rielle Hunter, a videographer he had hired before his second White House bid. Edwards had long denied he was the father of the child, but the man who had claimed paternity, former Edwards aide Andrew Young, was expected to puncture those denails in an upcoming "20-20" interview.
In a statement released today, Edwards said, "I am Quinn's father. It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter, and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me."
