"It's a breath of fresh air to actually see a child is now in remission and the length of time in remission, because there is so much uncertainty when you have a child with cancer," said one parent.
Even with the hope and excitement of seeing the kids together, there are still tears. But don't be fooled; this is not a sad place.
"It is a place of laughter and smiles and joy and the children love to come here, they love to play," Nancy Zuchs said. "You would think that a place where children have cancer would be sad, but it is the opposite, it is a very happy place."
It is a place made even happier on this day because a preschooler named Danny is blowing out the candles for his fourth birthday.
As the kids sing "Happy Birthday," Danny has plenty of friends to cheer him on.
