RHINEBECK, N.Y., Aug. 1, 2010 — -- Around 7:30 p.m., it was official. After weeks of secrecy, the veil had finally been lifted and Chelsea Clinton, the young girl we met in the White House, is all grown up and married to her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky.

She was stunning in her Vera Wang gown with silver beading circling around her waist and a wide smile similar to her mother's.

The honeymoon destination was a closely guarded surprise, with Mezvinsky, 32, planning to reveal it to Chelsea Clinton, 30, tonight, sources said.

Clinton said her "I do's" on her own terms, without paparazzi or press, in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

Former President Bill Clinton's dance with his daughter was to Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight." He appeared emotional, biting his lip as he walked her down the aisle.

The former president had slimmed down for the affair. He lost more than 15 pounds before walking Chelsea down the aisle, a weight-loss request made by the bride-to-be.

The mother of the bride beamed in fuchsia dress designed by Oscar de la Renta, who outfitted Hillary Clinton in a gold gown for her husband's second presidential inauguration in 1997.

The Clinton family announced in an e-mail statement: "Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together."

The interfaith ceremony included elements from both the Jewish and Christian traditions. Mezvinsky is Jewish, and Clinton is Methodist.

As far as who was there to witness it all, the big names the media had buzzed about for weeks -- Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Streisand and Steven Spielberg -- were not in attendance, perhaps not even invited.
