March 9, 2010— -- Rep. Eric Massa, D-N.Y., said he resigned from office last week because his fellow Democrats had pressured him. According to Massa, he was "set up" by his colleagues because he was planning to vote against President Obama's health care plan, he said Monday in a radio interview.

But White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs dismissed Massa's claim today on "Good Morning American," calling Massa's story "silly and ridiculous."

Massa is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for accusations of inappropriate behavior toward a male staffer. Massa admitted to using what he called "salty language" but denied sexually harassing the staffer. In his initial statement on the resignation, he cited health problems as his reason for stepping down.

Our question to you today: Do you believe Democrats forced Eric Massa out of office, or is he simply looking to blame others?
