Abc's linzie janis tells us more. Reporter: One day this past march at melissa bream's missouri real estate agency, the phones started going crazy. Her receptionist was overwhelmed. Every time she picked up a line, there wasn't anybody on the line. And after that, she got a pile of huge bills. Her phone company, charter, said she owed $14,000. And from sprint var tech, and at&t, where she doesn't even have accounts. The total bill, over half a million dollars. Usually my phone bill runs $320 a month.
