Transcript for A League Of Their Own: Little league Giants Tower Over Teammates
Finally, here, what happens when little leaguers aren't so little. In fact, it gives them the edge. Here's abc's gio benitez. Reporter: They are young goliaths on the baseball field. Size 15 shoes. Sflr chad lorkowski is only 12 years old. The starting pitcher from grosse pointe, michigan, his fastball clocks in at over 70 miles per hour. And then there's grant holman, from chula vista, california, 166 pounds and 6'4". He's taller than derek jeter, but just 13. At the little league world series yesterday the young pitchers faced off. Holman dominating with 13 strikeouts. The coolest thing that I have ever done. Making headlines with his no-hitter. I just feel like I'm like any other kid. Reporter: In team photos, they stick out like sour thumbs. The smaller kids are saying, hey, he's a good player. The part of it is realizing they might be in social studies together. I mean, it's kids. Kids especially at this age are competitors when they get in the spotlight and they're not going to given a inch regardless of the size of the mound. Reporter: Fierce competitors but still, just kids. Gio benitez, abc news, new york. I could have used their help back in little league.
