We begin with a new blow from this exhausting winter. Both sides of the country dealing with a season that just won't quit as another winter storm is set to pounce. Out west tonight, they're cleaning up from avalanches. . The south eager to prove that it's learned how to handle this ugly weather. With 11 states preparing for a new blast. Avalanches from the heavy snow that killed two people in Utah authorities across the country tonight worried about people dying on the roads. 26 people were hospitalized when their tour bus slipped on the black ice in southwestern Pennsylvania. Utility crews from around the country, trying to restore power this evening to thousands of families who've been in the dark here for a week. This has been the longest. This is outrageous. Reporter: In Georgia tonight, they're calling all of their power crews back home, stat, for a storm that could be bigger than the 2 inches of snow that paralyzed Atlanta two weeks ago. I was trying to get on the 675. I'm kind of spinned out right here and I'm sitting in the road. Reporter: The city's response became a running joke like this one, that it only took a snowflake to shut the city down. Today, Georgia's governor doing what many of his critics say he should have done then -- declaring a state of emergency in 45 counties before the snow and ice. Do not put yourself or your family in jeopardy. Reporter: They're expecting a one-two punch, first snow tonight and then up to an inch of ice possible tomorrow night. They want everyone off the roads starting tonight. So tomorrow and Wednesday, schools in Atlanta are closed. It could be a significant snow for much of the south. Winter storm watches are up tonight.
