James Hill is an ABC News producer based in the network's Midwest Bureau in Chicago. He got his start at ABC in 1989, on the day the Exxon Valdez ran aground in Alaska's Prince William Sound. Over two decades, James has spanned the globe covering all manner of natural disasters, political campaigns, criminal trials and armed conflicts. He is a four-time winner of the Edward R. Murrow Award, a recipient of the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award for Investigative Reporting and, along with ABC's Bob Woodruff, a winner of a Peabody Award for a series of reports on the trimpuhs and travails of injured American servicemen and women on the homefront.
