Jane E. Allen, a longtime health and medical reporter, joined ABC News in March 2010 as an associate producer for the Medical Unit. Since September 2010, she has been a health reporter for ABCNews.com. She previously was a Los Angeles-based science and medical writer for the Associated Press, a staff health writer for the Los Angeles Times and a freelancer whose stories have appeared in O, The Oprah Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, AARP Bulletin.
