Michael Angelo Rivera is a student in the visual journalism program at Western Kentucky University with an expected graduation date of 2013. He is the 2012-2013 Photo Editor of the College Heights Herald. Rivera is currently completing a photo editing internship at ABCNews.com in New York. He is also a contract photographer at ZUMA PRESS. Rivera briefly attended school in Texas where he sought to earn a degree in criminal justice before realizing his true passion for journalism. Growing up with Honduran parents, Rivera speaks both English and Spanish fluently. This proved to be advantageous, growing up in Duncanville, Texas. The first in his family to pursue photojournalism, Rivera hopes to cover conflict photography in Central and South America after his graduation. « Read Less
