Top 10 Companies Hiring Most Now

The U.S. may not have added jobs in August, leaving the unemployment rate unchanged at 9.1 percent, but there are companies that are hiring. Online career site CareerBuilder.com released a list of the top 10 companies taking on new employees in the U.S. and the world, drawn on data collected within the past two weeks.
At the top of the list is moving and storage company U-Haul, in Phoenix. A company spokeswoman said it has approximately 1,000 field positions and about 75 corporate jobs available. Those include openings for six programmers, and several more for web designers. Perhaps the company’s success attests to the growing mobility of the U.S. population. According to the company, which has offered services for “do-it-yourself moving households” since 1945, one in five people move each year and the average person moves 11 times in a lifetime.
Some of the companies in the list are hiring outside the country, like telecommunications equipment manufacturer Motorola Solutions. A spokesman for Motorola Solutions said the company does not comment on the specific number of jobs available, but it currently has 23,000 employees in 65 countries.
Rosemary Haefner, vice president of human resources at CareerBuilder, said the U.S. unemployment situation should improve this year.
“Unfortunately, the economy is not yet consistently producing jobs in a healthy range each month, which is necessary to bring down the unemployment rate,” Haefner said. “The encouraging news, however, is that today there are companies looking to add a large volume of new employees in a variety of positions, and we expect this trend to continue through the remainder of the year.”

Be aware job creation number issued each month is a flux. Last month according to unemployment applications about 1.7 people were laid off. This means to create zero net jobs 1.7 million must have appeared elsewhere. Sure there are nuances due to growth/shrinkage of the workforce, and “seasonal” adjustments. You can have 250,000 net jobs in a month with a small drop of layoffs, and hiring. Example 370,000 laid off, and 430,000 hired per week instead of 415,000 laid off and hired now. Little change of gross hiring, but a slowdown of layoffs.
Basically it means if you are unemployed there is hope buried in last month’s figures.

So this is what it has come to? What ABC should be saying, but won’t as one of the arms of the Obama media is that few companies are hiring, and in reality, no one is hiring at a livable wage. We are in anothe recession, as if we got out of the first, and the current administration is now politicizing this issue with their idiotic jobs prgram/payoff to union labor. Gosh, wonder why Obama is only going to battleground states to tout this new stimulus program? Why isn’t he taking questions from the “hand-picked” crowds.
