Well, then we would have to start paying union fees out of every paycheck when we already make slave wages To the poster that said Walmart employees need unions. I believe it has been a 90 day wait to qualify. I heard a rumor that is increasing to one year. Can you please verify? Would it not make sense to share your BILLIONS of dollars that your family pockets every year and share with your employees by keeping their benefits. It rattles my cage that your family members forget who really runs the company. If it wasn't for the paper pushers, cashiers, stockers and so forth your company would be nothing. Don't forget how you got to where you are. Your American dream came true from the hard work of others. Don't you think it is time to give back to those who strive to keep Walmart number ONE and the company that it is. Please think about what you are doing. When we all pass away we are judged by GOD not our peers. This earth needs good people who help one another. Besides the billions of dollars does is poison ones mind to live beyond their dreams and then if something bad happens dreams are shatttered and reality sets in. So, I ask do not shatter the dreams of your employees. Their dreams are just to put food on their table and have healthy family. Think about your employees future as well as yours. GREED is an ugly word. Thank You and GOD BLESS. Edward A (customer)(soon not to be) Walmart Owners and Board of Directors,

Also most people who work at walmart or about half are part time. I work there. That is what Walmart employees are paying for the 'most popular' option. Both my spouse and I have jobs (I in healthcare and he at a very popular big box retailer) and through my work the basic (not the best option - it has a high deductable) insuance option (for one person - not a family) is $300 A MONTH and at my husbands job it is $200 A MONTH (high deductable as well) oh and both insuances carry a $45 co=pay. That's what has to be paid at every visit just to walk in the door!! So $30.00 is something people shouldn't be complaining about. Be happy you have a job AND affordable health insurance $30.00 a month is NOT a lot of money to have to pay for health insurance.
