Sears cheated the young GI who invented the quick release rachet. As an assistant division manager of Sears hardware at the time he sued Sears we sold only QR ratchets because they were so popular. Sears told the court the QR ratchet only had a limited market. The original purchase price of the invention was $17,000. Over the next 20yrs they profited in the millions for this invention. While the court case was going on we received the non QR ratchet in stock which the majority still would not buy. Eventually the inventor received $2 million from Sears. They cheated this guy.
