NextSet. Great advice: “Get a credit card like every other normal adult”…and rack up huge credit card bills, stay in debt, and retire broke. Try being cash positive (and using a debit card). It will change your life.

Mapco has issues obviously, I would stop doing buisness with them if this is the service they provide.

Using your bank card should be an error free process! and it should be secure.

Nextset – maybe they are trying NOT to use a credit card or they do not have one because of credit issues. This shows the callous behavior of the bank and the company when neither one wanted to be responsible. THe story also says that Mapco has done this before. The employee who did this should be fired as they appear to be committing Identity Theft at the least!

Anyone dumb enough to use a bank debit card at a gas station has to expect this sort of this once in awhile. those cards are not safe and everybody knows they are not safe. Get a credit card like every other normal adult.
