You should too. You ought to realize that the well-being of WalMart workers is your well-being as a worker, and mine, and ours as a society. Job security and better pay and better quality of life. Things haven't been costing what they ought to cost for a long time. The reason is that labor has in the last three decades taken a huge hit. Why do you not ask how shares for the company keep going up but somehow you don't seem to think that that rising wealth affects you in any way. Maybe if the company is making more and more money it could afford to lower the prices to off-set the needed benefits. By the way, your tax dollars are paying Wal-Mart salaries already. It's called a public welfare system for the working poor because a company that hauls in billions actually passes the costs of business on to YOU. Why don't you try doing that? What? You're not rich enough to get us all to pay YOUR employees? @James L

I believe these folks do not speak for all workers. You can thank Obama for cutting full-time classification down to 30 hrs a week, from 40 hrs and Obamacare. The added expense forced on all companies by Obama will eventually be passed to the buying public, so we don't necessarily hold these wildcat strikers/sick out folks in a good light. Wal-Mart employees have yet to state how they are going to pay me back, if they get their wishes and my family has to pay them more.
