Apple should be shamed into moving back along with a lot of other companies that employ slave labor, and we owe the slave owners trillions, get rid of Wall Street and the problem is fixed. If so, the tax consequences of bringing this money back to the US for any investment or stock dividend would be substantial. Also, if I was a stockholder in Apple I would strongly object to any bonuses paid to top executives, including stock, until a large dividend was paid out. The sad fact is many major US corporations are sitting on piles of cash, and the only ones benefitting are senior executives.
