Phoenix: The Interview

We had the opportunity to talk to two members of one of our favorite bands, Phoenix, when they were in New York a few weeks ago. Thomas Mars (singer) and Christian Mazzalai (guitar) were friank, friendly, fun, and engaging. The interview was conducted at the Bowery Hotel, the same location where they recorded much of the new album, "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix".

If you’re unfamiliar with Phoenix, you may remember them from their fantastic song Too Young from the movie "Lost in Translation". Also they had a gig on SNL a few weeks back. They played two songs, 1901 and Lisztomania. Played them so tightly that some even suggested it was lip-synched. It wasn’t. So enjoy our interview and come back next week for Passion Pit!

SNL was definitely not lip synced, I have years of music experience, they are just a tight outfit.
