Amplified: Hooray for Earth

Hooray for Earth is a New York and Boston-based four piece that makes big catchy pop music reminiscent of 80's synth pop that's all the rage now. Band leader Noel Heroux says he wants people to genuflect when they hear it. The band's new EP Momo is available now.

This feature is the first part of our collaboration with eMusic for their eMusic Selects program. Pick up the EP here. Next week we'll be talking with Bethany Cosentino, the voice of Los Angeles twosome Best Coast.

Check out the video above for more on the band, to get a taste of their music and to hear the source of the (somewhat) controversial band name.
