Bethenny Frankel Admits to Lying About Being Lost at Sea?

The controversy surrounding reality star Bethenny Frankel’s “lost at sea” story may or may not be settled, says The Hollywood Reporter Tim Russell, the man who came to the aid of the Betheny Ever After star and her husband, Jason Hoppy, claimed that the whole event was staged for the camera.

Frankel had earlier claimed that she was on a sailboat off the coast of Nantucket, MA, which became “lost at sea for twenty hours.” However, Russell insists that the nine people on the boat — including a Bravo film crew of six and a therapist — were all fine and did not need Coast Guard assistance, as suggested by Frankel.

In an interview with E! Online, Frankel said, “The captain had to call the Coast Guard and we were hit by a big wave. It was very scary. It was traumatic. Absolutely traumatic.”

She finished the weekend by posting on Twitter and Facebook, writing, “Let’s review this week’s past idiocies: 1.) I have a “nice” coach 2.)I’m getting divorced 3.) I’m pregnant 4.) I lied about being lost at sea. Anything else?”
