Michael Jackson’s Daughter, Paris, Dominates at Flag Football

Miguel Aguilar/Sam Sharma/Pacific Coast News
Paris Jackson was “invincible” Tuesday as her flag football team scored their way to victory at her exclusive private school in Los Angeles.
“We Won 32-6!!!!!!!! Yeahhh Boiiiiii!!!” she tweeted.
The King of Pop’s 13-year-old daughter is the first girl to join her school’s flag football team according to TMZ. Playing linebacker, she reportedly hustled just as hard as the guys while brothers Prince and Blanket watched from the sidelines.
The Lingerie Football League recently invited Paris to be its spokeswoman, but it looks like it won’t be getting that kind of precious PR. Katherine Jackson, the family matriarch who has custody of the children, reportedly was ”disgusted” by the invitation.
RadarOnline.com quoted a “family insider” as saying, ”Katherine views this as a disgusting attack on a minor. There is a hell storm inside the family at the moment. A teenage spokeswoman for a lingerie league? That’s just creepy and downright offensive.”

Chris…you have the option to SKIP OVER the title of the news story if you are not interested.
Also, you could have closed the link after the first line of the story. You are not forced to read every single article just because it is there. This is just FYI, since you obviously dont know it.

That’s just creepy and downright offensive. Gee, thats what I used to think about MJ and all his little boy fetishes.

Maddy-Yes I know that I can skip over this article if not interested, but again, why is this news?? Is it because their father is part of a trial that is currently in the news everyday? And not for nothing, how about all of the other kids that play on that team-no mention of them was mentioned. Just another story about MJ and his kids to get some money off of someone and I’m sorry, but there are more important things going on in this world than this ridiculous story-but then again, you must be one of those who live and breathe by everything that relates to Michael Jackson-get a grip and this is my PERSONAL OPINION of the story and I read more than this crap!!!

Ya, God forbid they do a story that highlights women making history. Even in the smallest of ways like being the first girl on a high school football team. Anything that shows women making progress is a GOOD THING!

Good for Paris – way to go. I admire this kid for knowing who she is and doing what she wants to despite all that she has been through.
God Bless these kids but I have to ask, who names a kid Blanket, I mean really!!!

I agree with Maddy. Chris you are not being forced to read anything; even the other CRAP that you read. Sounds like you seek out articles that fuel your need to COMPLAIN about something. Bottom line: if you feel this is CRAP click the next story. You ought to exercise some form of maturity.

well . . . the section is entitled CELEBRITIES . . . so why are people on it anyway, who don’t want to read about them? . . . most important implications here are that this “is” historic, small or not . . . small is large . . . the first girl on the team . . . they win . . . she’s confident, as someone said, in who she is and what she wants . . .she’s able to release the stuff going on around her personal family life while on the field . . . sounds inspiring to me . . . also, this underscores the patheticism of whoever asked a 13 year old girl to pose in lingerie . . . a societal problem and dliemma . . . sounds like it’s newsworthy or dialogue worthy to me . . .
Also, I do understand the fellow’s commentary and being upset at money being made off of anything MJ . . . MJ had a problem with that . . . too . . . but the tonality of “how is this news?” is a bit off, in my book . . . for above listed reasons . . . and if no one’s noticed, 24 / 7 cable and everyone blogging from their kitchen creates a plethora of news, lighter and heavier . . . the one point i do agree with and I don’t like “is” . . . that anything that says MJ makes news . . . on the one hand, it should . . . due to his offerings over forty years, both domestically (in this country) and globally . . . and because there is some questionable stuff that went on via his passing . . . in regard to those who demean Michael’s fans . . . that’s just silly, count among those fans . . . Nelson Mandela . . . Frank Sinatra . . . Fred Astaire . . . when Leonard Bernstein was asked what he wanted to do for his birthday one year, he said, “MEET MICHAEL JACKSON” . . . and for those who revert to unproven myths about the horrific allegations, please research the allegers . . . and the case . . . and the FBI files where they came up empty . . . just silly one line spewing on that part . . .

Everyone views the world differently, based on interests, motivations, past experiences etc. If someone is interested in Michael Jackson related news, leave them alone. Yes, there are so many things going on in the world, so don’t look in the “Entertainment” section of the news. Why don’t you look at the World, Health, US, sections, instead of trying to make yourself feel a little more superior talking down on the news and MJ fans. AND WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY TALK ABOUT THE OTHER KIDS IN THE TEAM? Is their father one of the most talked about public figures in the world? Doubt it.

@Chris, I think Maddy’s point is that your comment is a big waste of time. If you don’t find this interesting then don’t read and certainly don’t comment. The celebrity of MJ makes this noteworthy to some. There does not need to be an explanation of what it got published. People who are not interested should not read or waste time commenting. I believe in free speech so I’m really not telling you not to comment, the entire deal of Maddy and my comment is just to point out how silly it is to claim such disinterest yet all the while waste time commenting.

Go Paris!!! And i agree with the majority of the people here, if you don’t like the title don’t click on it and don’t comment. Clicks and comments are like “ratings” for news stories. The more comments that are made (good or bad), the higher the perceived public interest in said story. By commenting you are really undermining your “who cares” mentality. Selah.

It kind of IS news that someone as messed up as Michael Jackson managed to raise what appears to be an amazing family. The poise and grace with which his three children conduct themselves is truly impressive. Having just read another story about Courtney Stodden, this little blurb was kind of an antidote.

@ Chris tell me…..you said “how about all of the other kids that play on that team-no mention of them was mentioned” Do you honestly think that the general public would bother reading about other kids in this story? This is not some hot news football team ? The only person the general public would know abt in this story is Paris the daughter of MJ. Like the other’s have said next time just skip what u dont like. Paris is the first girl playing this game in the school’s history, congrats Paris and well done !

EN_CEE_MAMA, you might want to contemplate your own comment. How would you imagine someone as “messed up” as you have been misled to believe Michael was could be the only parent his children ever had and manage to raise those impressively poised and graceful children? Michael devoted himself to assuring that his children had what he was unable to have – freedom to experience childhood, opportunity to explore all the facets of their own individual child identities, and to do so embraced in the sacred anonymity that is plain, ordinary, unspotlighted childhood.

Actually to Ellen and AR, “Blanket”‘s name is actually Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. as was reported by People in an article just a few short weeks ago. the kids names are Prince Micheal Jackson, Paris Katherine Jackson and Micheal Joseph “Blanket” Jackson, Jr.

Good for you Paris. Look like she know what she is doing. I’m truly rooting for these kids, regardless if I was a fan of MJ or not. I hope they are dealing with the lost of MJ, and I really hope they have a happy life.

People like Chris are negative and simply want to complain about everything. It is news to some Chris. As you have been told you didn’t have to read it. There are more important things going on in the world and they are being covered you obviously just don’t know how to use a search engine. It’s news because her father is Michael Jackson. Get over it and stop checking back to see if anyone has replied. Go read news that interests you and stop putting things that don’t.
One more thing , I’m confused about the number of people talking about the name blanket. It’s not the kids real name. His name is Prince. He and his brother were named after their great grandfather. My sons nickname is Bean. Blanket is just a nickname it really blows my mind the things I’ve read. Michael said his mother told him when he was small his love covered her like a blanket so he said the same to his son. People are so pathetic. As for two kids with the same name, last I checked George Foreman has 8 children named George, but hey that’s funny because its George.
Great story in my opinion!

Kudos to all of you whose comments have stood up for Michael and his children. Enough of the criticism, sarcasm and judgment thrown at this family. I would love to have any of the haters’ lives spewed out for worldwide consumption and see how well they pass their own test of what’s appropriate and acceptable.
BTW, Chris, I hate sports so I don’t read the sports page. Get it??!!

Paris, you go, Honey. You were raised you to be strong, smart and your own person, limiting yourself to no one else’s parameters and that’s exactly what you’re doing. Your daddy would be proud!
