Ricky Gervais will return to the Golden Globes.

He’s baaaaack: Ricky Gervais will host the Golden Globes for the third year in a row.

Gervais’ stint helming the 2011 Globes drew criticism when he insulted pretty much all the A-listers in attendance. He recently evoked ire again by posting a slew of jokes on Twitter that some Down’s Syndrome groups found offensive.

Don’t expect him to clean up his act for the January show. Minutes after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced they’d tapped Gervais to host this year’s ceremony, Gervais tweeted, “Just told Billy Crystal he’d better not use any of my holocaust or pedophile material at The Oscars. He agreed (true).”
