As Tracey Turnbald, she was entered into the Miss Hairspray Contest in the 2007 re-make of "Hairspray." Now the actress who played the plump teenager, Nikki Blonsky, confirms she's working in a hair salon for real.

In a tweet to her fans, Blonsky says, "It's true Im workin @ Superstar Salon as a makeup artist & more Im proud 2 b workin & helpin pay bills BUT ill NEVER loose sight of my dreams."

Blonsky's previous non-acting job was at a high-end shoe store in New York City.
