A traumatic experience for the child, however, her mother loved her enough to keep her rather than giver her to another family. It was different times and I’m not condoning her mother’s actions, but given that she was born during the depression and her mother was a woman in a time careers did not exist for them as they do today. And also she would not have been able to even get a secretarial job had it been known she had a child out of wedlock, it was literally survival, people did starve during the depression, so I wouldn’t be too hard on her, she probably felt really bad about the whole situation.

No Bill Cosby did not have a child. The young lady was trying to extort money from him. But he did have an affair with her mother. He has asked for a paternity test but the young lady refuses to submit to one.

This may not be good or bad, but its changing the way we as a people evolve. Religion aside, there is some sort of moral fabric that is torn when a family is not whole. I was lucky enough to come from a 2 parent home, my parents are still happily married after some 36 years and I being their oldest, I’m 30 and getting married next year. I have had ALL of my friends who have kids do so and either not marry the father’s or continue having children and not marry at all. Some have even tried to talk me into joining the bunch…have a baby, it’ll be ok, it’ll open some doors for you…(I was having trouble getting money for school) But I didn’t, waited, (still trying to get money for school) and now have met someone that I adore, cannot wait to marry this man next year and start our family…I said it once and I’ll say it again….what’s so wrong with wanting to come home from the hospital with my baby and we all have the same last name as his or her father? Its almost taboo these days as it seems and young girls think its cute.

Both Jack Nicholson and Bobby Darin had the same stories, Wayne Menger, where they were born to their older, unmarried sisters and raised by their grandmothers, thinking those ladies were their mothers until the truth came out. Must have been a very huge thing to discover at 32 in Darin’s case and at 37 in Nicholson’s. Darin’s sister admitted it to him, whereas Jack didn’t find out until after his real mother and grandmother were already dead.

These people put their careers and status ahead of their own children. What a shame! And Loretta Young first denies she is her mother and then doesn’t talk to her for 3 yrs after her daughter exposes the truth. She still put her own pride ahead of her daughter. PRIDE GOES BEFORE A FALL!
