Jennifer Lopez's romance with dancer Casper Smart won't be slowed down by a legal matter stemming from allegations that he participated in a drag race.

According to Us Weekly, Smart's attorney, acting on Smart's behalf, entered a no-contest plea in a Los Angeles court Tuesday to a speeding charge in connection with an April 2010 drag race.

The 24-year-old Smart was sentenced to 12 months' summary probation and was ordered to pay a $500 fine.

Smart, who reportedly has been cited three times in the past for driving without a license, spent the New Year's holiday with Lopez in Miami Beach, according to various outlets. They've been romantically linked since November.
