Rihanna turned heads on Grammy night when she stepped onto the red carpet in a stunning black Armani dress with a plunging neckline. But folks weren’t just checking out Ri-Ri’s gown — jaws dropped over her sensational physique. So how does the singer maintain a figure like that? Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak told People magazine, “She’s got such a beautiful body naturally,” later adding that, “With someone like her, it’s about the fine tuning.”
Pasternak, who wrote the New York Times best-seller “5-Factor Diet,” uses his diet and exercise plan to help Rihanna maintain her hot bod. When she’s traveling, Ri tries to squeeze in a minimum of three workouts each week, at least 25 minutes each day. But when she’s hanging out in one location, Pasternak says, “She’s been really focused and stepped it up,” upping her sessions to five days a week and bolstering her cardio to a total of 30 minutes a day from 10.
Rihanna keeps biking or cycling as part of her cardio routine, and she’ll sometimes jump rope — without a rope — jog in place or do jumping jacks in her hotel room or backstage before a concert, Pasternak explains. The “You Da One” singer also does her best to eat five small meals a day, but Pasternak says she still “gets salty cravings.” To deal with those, Rihanna will grab some of Pasternak’s high-protein, bean-based 5 Factor chips.
“They’ve been a big hit with our music and entertainment clients,” says the trainer. So far, Rihanna “looks amazing,” says Pasternak. “She keeps getting better and better!”
