I love Candace Bergen, but must admit that I saw her this past Friday in “The Best Man” on Broadway, including a close-up outside the stage door, and she did not look very good at all. A little shocking, but she acted very well. and I’m pulling for her.

She has always been intelligent and beautiful – and a marvelous writer. Her autobiography which was published in 1984 was witty and wise – today’s Hollywood does not have a clue how to behave with her dignity and grace. I only wish she would write the second half from 1984 to present day, minor memory loss notwithstanding.

Celebrities personal lives are none of our business. It’s nice to have the support of fans, but if I were famous, nobody would know my stuff — it’s the reason why those that do allow it get so screwed up, — they don’t have ownership of their lives.

There is a reason you pay a publicist — to keep your personal life out of the media.
I think Lauren Bacall said it best, “First you keep your mouth shut.”

She is amazing. Wouldn’t it be nice if all the stars could be so gracious and quiet???? Way too much information put out on a daily basis and they get paid to spill it all over the world such classless people. Live your life – I don’t need to know all the details. Candace is classy. Good for her for being strong enough to overcome something that could have been life ending.

Way to go Candice Bergan! Natural is best, accept aging as part of life. You are setting an example for the rest of us, thank-you… Strokes are rough, glad to know she’s mostly recovered… A person is never quite the same afterwards, doesn’t mean it has to hamper our lifes.
