The series is only ending now in South Africa and I am utterly disappointed in Ben. I personally thought he was smart enough to differanciate between love and lust.You know you’re in trouble if a 17year old can see what you don’t.Ben…super disappointed

To the people lashing out on Courtney! We have heard you & we feel your pain and disappointment. But admit this to yourselves at least- We do not like people just because they are nice or because they are mean- We tend to like or dislike people just because! no reason- no excuses- no apologies! Simply put: someone may dislike Courtney because they like Kacey B-
This case of dislike have nothing to do with Courtney meanness- Its got everything to do with you liking someone else that is on the losing side!! (in which case caused you to spit some venom of your on)!

I think that this really was a story of two people in love. The problem is that one of these people didn’t think that they could find it without being absolutely horrible. For those who think people are ‘haters’ because Courtney was beautiful, not true. I think most of the women in the house were extremely beautiful they just didn’t taint their beauty with a truly horrible personality. I think that Courtney is extremely high maintenance and Ben will be spending the rest of his life trying to live up to her unrealistic and demanding expectations of a partner. That is what he has chosen and I wish him all the best.

I totally agree with Scottishlass — there could be so much more good in people that you could show us — with Class. This is tasteless TV. No one wants to see good women (or men) rubbed through the garbage like this season did to us. I will not watch anymore.

I am relieved to see that most of the comments reveal a justifiably harsh judgement of the “revoltin’ development” — that this once good show, has become. Interesting that Chris Hansen seems to see all too clearly that the grubbiness of the show is ruining a good concept. The PRODUCERS & CAMERA CREW obviously get-off on the sleazy, cheap-motel atmosphere. Last year on a behind-the-scenes piece, 2 or 3 of them stated that they keep track of the sexual escapades — at that time Bob G. (pudgy, funny guy) “had the most at 3.5″. The point being, that since Brad Wo, the show has been getting into public restroom fare. If ABC wants to salvage it’s increasingly squalid reputation: DUMP the behind-the-scenes slime-balls; freshen up the format by aiming for romance rather then sleaze; lose the oh so obvious manipulations of the nasty shrews, creepy wackos, & whimpering whiners. ALL so tiresome. You use to actually select normal, nice people. Most of the commentary on this page should illuminate the downmarket that you are serving up for your advertisers. Compare this to much earlier commentary histories. ABC doesn’t need to pander to the Jerry Springer, shock-jockstrap crowd. Women & at least some men, long for higher, better, more hopeful stories. Most of humankind yearns to see even strangers comforted & cared for. It encourages us in the face of calamity … And finally, must I actually have to tell you to deep-six the sordid Bachelor Party House?? At the very least, REVAMP it entirely. There have been many apparently nice, men & women on the shows, believe me, if you at ABC work at helping some of them find each other, you will have a hit show that will run forever. Your demographic is much broader than you realize. I’m an excellent example of that. But I can assure you that I and my age group, are just about done with the series. The upcoming Emily, may give ABC a chance to redeem itself. But if Emily, or the next Bachelor continue in the skanky mode you have established —
it is over.

They deserve each other. He made the statement about the ‘slow burn’ with Lindzey or the flash hot feeling with Courtney, and which would be better. Everyone knows that slow burn continues to grow into the relationship of a lifetime – but he chose the sudden flash (probably when he saw her naked) and he acted on his base urge. She gave no indication that she is remotely nice, so either his mom and sister are blind, or the show was edited to not show her being the least bit nice or kind. This season was probably the worst for this show, and I have to wonder why it remains on television. It does nothing to portray women in a positive way.

The minute she took her clothes off – he was hooked. Her strategy? More than likely.

Look at all the truly great women he passed up because he was thinking with his “you know what”! We had such high hopes for you, Ben. Every woman was thinking “finally, a good man with substance,” but in the end, you weren’t any different than most men out there AND you got what you deserve – you’re “stuck with her”.

I’m just surprised that along the way when those who weren’t given a rose had time to comment that one of them, at least, didn’t say to herself, “If he wants Courtney, than he’s not the man I thought he was.”

Ben, I love you and your attitude towards life, your attributes, dreams, hopes, etc.
Wathching you choose Courtney last night made me think she had pulled the wool over
your eyes.
I want you to be happy in life and in love.
Please give Lindzi a call when you see this email and give her one dozen roses as she is
so deserving and just the right girl for you.
I will not try to guess if she will now change her mind and reject your offer of the roses,
or to date and get to know each other better.
All I will say is God bless you and your family, it was a difficult season for you.
