DeAndre Brackensick was sent home on Thursday's "American Idol" results show. He made a big impression this season with his long, curly hair and high singing voice.
Judge Jennifer Lopez voted to save DeAndre from elimination after it was revealed he had the lowest number of viewer votes, but she was overruled by fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson following DeAndre's "save me" performance of Stevie Wonder's "Master Blaster (Jammin')."
Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone were in the bottom three with DeAndre, but they'll be back next week to compete as part of the remaining top seven contestants.
Joshua Ledet was feeling light-headed and achy during the results show, but a "Good Luck Joshua" video from a pre-school class in Vietnam lifted his spirits.
Judge Jennifer Lopez gave a first look at her new video "Dance Again" at the top of the show, but she blushed when Ryan Seacrest asked her about any special chemistry going on between her and her dancer/boyfriend Casper Smart in the video. Their steamy dance moves in the clip said it all though.
The UK group The Wanted sang their dance hit "Glad You Came," and former "Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler returned to sing "Where's Tammy Wynette."
"American Idol" returns Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time on Fox.
