Looks like I’ve been misinformed. 30K for a star sounds like a bargain. I’ll buy one for my house cat, next Christmas. By the way, about this bribes thing. Just so I get it right, are we talking cash,or the favors of some underage farm animal, or corner seating at Musso and Franks? I can arrange the first two with little problem, but I’m afraid that they will never let me back into M&F’s again.

To answer your question, no one “gives” you a star on Hollywood Blvd. You have to buy it.
First, you make an application with the Hollywood Star committee, and if they think your worthy,
You can write out your check. But, I warn you, it’s not for the squeamish. I don’t know how much a star costs, but it is in the six figures.

I am curious what it takes to get a star? Seems that it takes a long time for icons like Mr. West and those who have been in the business for only a few years, get one much sooner. Shouldn’t they take care of the stars who have been around for many years first? It appalls me that people like Ryan Seacrest have a star altready and they are just now giving one to Adam West, who is a tv Icon.

I grew up in Goleta California in the mid 60′s and I remember when they shot the famous bomb scene on the Santa Barbara pier. There’s been a lot of other Batmen was Adam was the greatest. Unlike todays modern “dark and gritty”and too serious heroes he made superheros fun and exiting for a little kid. Congratulations!!
