I don’t really understand the concept of renewing wedding vows unless you want to create and add new vows. I would like to have had some addendums with my former husband although it would not have mattered. It’s what we do, not what we say, that makes a marriage work or not.

Why do they keep renewing their vows? Do they expire? I love them, but I think their behavior is excessive and self absorbed. I also don’t think renewing one’s vows ensures that one’s marriage will last. LeAnn Rimes/Dean Sheremet and Heidi Klum/Seal all renewed their vows and we know how those marriages turned out.

I have a lot of respect for Mariah for renewing her wedding vows, when your partner in life has problems and is not well, this is when you know if someone loves you, she obviously loves Nick and cares for him, I feel the same for my wife, I love her and I wil always love her and protect her and I know she feels the same for me. I wish Mariah and Nick all the best and I hope they both have a long and wonderful life together.
