No, murdered rapper Tupac Shakur has not risen from the dead.

Instead, hip hop star Snoop Dogg performed with a remarkably lifelike hologram of Tupac at the close of California's massive Coachella music festival.

Tupac, who died more than 15 years ago, greeted the crowd with a "what up, Coachella!" Bare-chested, in a pair of acid-washed jeans, the high-tech, 3D image of the deceased rapper seamlessly joined Snoop on "Come With Me," "Hail Mary" and "Gangsta Party."

Snoop, one of the festival headliners, also performed with Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa, but Tupac was clearly the highlight. As news of his appearance spread on Twitter, Tupac, Pac and hologram were trending in no time. Now, even his hologram has its own Twitter account, @hologramtupac.

The technology that resurrected Tupac was previously used to allow Mariah Carey to perform five concerts simultaneously across Europe last year.
