You have to understand something! These types of jokes were fine for 1974 and early 80s but live in a different more diverse america today. Asian Indians are among the fastest growing population only second to the Hispanics. Asians are traditionally more sensitive and the newly immigrated ones don’t understand SNL type humor. The EAST by definition is more sensitive. I think both sides are right. I can see why the ad was made in humor but really this type of ill-humor is old. I remember in the 80s kids would tell me to go back where I came from. You don’t hear that sort of stuff anymore. The youth of America are more integrated nowadays. But people who grew up in that time 80s, 90s are still stuck in that mind set. You can no longer stereotype someone. It is only going to get worse from here but this is the new America.

There are a couple ways of looking at this–is it racism or just too much PCness? But then I think, what if he’d been in blackface? I bet a lot more people would take issue with it than they do with this. And that’s a double standard.

Wow! This just boggles my mind! All this racist crap going on right now is absolutely ridiculous! This kind of stuff shouldn’t even be in the media ’cause it just causes more idiots to say something’s racist, when it’s not, just because they want attention. I hope those people who complained about the commercial are reading everyone’s comments & are feeling really stupid right now!
