That’s quite a price range for the three judges…3-18 million dollars. I love the show (got hooked when lovely Simon was on), but no one is worth that much money.
I thought Jennifer Lopez did a great job, and expect that Keith will be good, too. I’m probably in a minority, but I have no idea who Nicki is.
There are a couple of things that would improve the show, in my opinion. One is to stop having the teenagers up front wave their arms when someone is singing. It’s quite unnecessary, and very annoying. The other change should be the number of votes we can make. Other shows set limits, and American Idol should too. Otherwise, your final results depend on how many people can ‘stuff’ the ballot box…..

instead of going for big names superstars, why not get a producer or someone from the inside of the music industry to host? When Idol first started it was Randy Jackson, Simon, and Paula. Only one of those names are a performer. Mariah-yes, I could see her as a good match for Idol. Nicki Minaj- um, HELL NO!! She’s been in this industry for what 2-3 years now? The only reason to hire her would be for ratings. Idk much about Keith Urban, but from what I’ve heard he should be good, especially since Idol has a big country following and has launched the careers of Scotty and Carrie Underwood. Lets exchange Nicki Minaj for someone like Diddy (not a fan at all but he knows what he’s talking about and has launched many successful careers)

Stick a fork in it!! Mariah, Nicki, and Keith??? Could a panel be more wrong? Do not want any of them. Okay Keith Urban is eye candy and all, but to watch him judging contestants will take away from the Keith I love. None of these choices could be more wrong. I guess the Diva Mariah could make it fresh but just looking at Nicki up there and the thought of Keith having to be in her company grosses me out!

In a sane world that had any common sense, all these worthless, annoying, fake, reality crap shows would DIE!!!! Just when you thought putting that fstudio made, rog voiced, mental psyco Britney Spears in a position of judging talent was a joke, now we get this. lol

Can we say DESPERATION? This is not American Idol; this is a bad knockoff of The Voice. And do Keith and Nicki have no pride to work for so little? Neither of them needs to. When a show deteriorates to the point of a second new cast, with not even one original member, it’s officially time to hang it up.

Oh God please no Nicki.. You know the show has gone down hill if they are even considering Nicki.. What does she know about musical talent? They probably want to look at her big fake butt all day that’s why they want her. I will watch the first episode so I can watch the train wreck.
