Last time I checked, we lived in a free country and we can spend our money on anything we want. If she did spend $250,000 on a manicure and you can’t afford it, that’s your issue NOT her’s. Get the “I hate rich people cuz I lack the skills to be rich myself” stick out your butts and get your life!!

I thought this was an incredible waste of money that could be spent in so many other, worthwhile ways– until I read she got it for free. Plus I’m sure the diamonds, once removed, were returned and can go toward other uses. So this is really a non-issue.

@megansspark – so are you jealous that she is wealthy.. its not her fault she was born into that.. and plus its her money her life whats the problem.. Im really confuse on this whole thing.. why are we whining about how somebody else spend their money.. and it turn out she got it for free or was able to wear it for free.. good for her lucky her.. get a life meganspark..

Don’t act like you wouldn’t do it if someone offered to do it for you FOR FREE. She didn’t pay a thing and didn’t keep a thing. If anything, complain about the manicurist, who blew the money on the diamonds, just to do some chick’s nails for one night…

I don’t mean to minimize the whole $250G g’s, but I could make my nails look like that in 5 minutes, just using the ugly dark purple nail polish I have in my bathroom. Throw a few of those faux crystal blingee nail decals on there and voila. Personally, I would’ve gone with a Porsche or something that would last a little longer………

@MEGANSSPARK Are you serious? She should be forced to volunteer because she had an opportunity to wear ridiculous nail polish that she didn’t even pay fpr to an event? Are you crazy? Don’t get me wrong volunteer work is an amazing and humbling service. But you stating she should be forced to because of something like this is just insane. I cannot stand how this country has turned into a pile of whiny wind bags who get so offended over the tiniest thing.

I don’t see what the big deal is. SHE DID NOT PAY FOR IT. It was FREE for her. Designers offer celebs the chance to wear their designs, jewelry etc to events for FREE to get free advertisement. Get off your high horses, geez!! And if she had paid for it . that would be her money and that last time I checked it is no one’s business how you spend your hard earned dollars. No she isn’t toiling away like most of us at a regular job, and yes she is very fortunate to have what she does. But regardless she still earned (some of) her fortune.

Read the article carefully. Its a manicure with diamonds. The diamonds are worth $250K — they were not consumed by the manicuring process.

I’m sure after the show, the manicure was undone and the diamonds were returned. Total cost: perhaps $5 in glue and the labor of the manicurist.
