Lady Gaga has attracted a lot of attention for her weight lately: during her most recent concerts, she's appeared much heavier than normal, and there have even been rumors that her record company has demanded that she slim down.

But over the weekend, Gaga, obviously aware of the chatter, took to Twitter to thank her fans for loving her just the way she is.

While tweeting about the success of her new fragrance Fame, which she says has sold six million bottles in one week, she added, "And thanks to my fans who love me no matter what, and know the meaning of real beauty & compassion. I really love you."

She then posted a photo of Marilyn Monroe on her social networking site, LittleMonsters.com, along with a quote from the late actress: "To all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size 0, you're the beautiful one. It's society that's ugly."

Gaga turned heads Saturday night in Paris by stepping out in a bizarre and enormous pink and electric blue dress that made her look like a cartoon character. The crazy outfit, which she accessorized with goggles and electric blue patent platform boots, did serve one purpose, though: it completely dwarfed her body, so no one could tell how big or how small she was.
