Ha ha ha! She wasn't her "rival". Iyanla was in negotiations with Oprah when Barbara Walters approached her to do a show. She told Oprah that she wanted to pursue that opportunity. Iyanla got her show with Barbara backing her, but she realized that they wanted her to be very different. They were trying to recreate Oprah and wanted her to be the "One". The show ended up being cancelled. Iyanla tried to go back to Oprah at that point, but Oprah declined to help. Oprah finally agreed to talk to her about it before she left her daytime show. They made up on television. However, that whole situation was created because Iyanla went crazy after getting that offer from Barbara Walters. That was NOT Oprah's fault!
