Sally Struthers Denies Drunk Driving Charge

Former "All in the Family" actress Sally Struthers was arrested Thursday morning in Ogunquit, Maine, for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, according to police.

Struthers, 65, was charged with OUI, or operating under the influence, a misdemeanor. She released on $160 cash bail, and a court date was set for Dec. 14.

Struthers has been appearing in the musical "9 to 5? at the The Ogunquit Playhouse. A rep for the actress told People.com, "Sally is working and she is fine and she loves The Ogunquit Playhouse and her yearly time in Ogunquit. We deny these charges."

Struthers is a first-time offender and faces a $500 fine and a 90-day license suspension if convicted.

"All in the Family" aired on CBS from 1971 to 1979. Struthers played Gloria Stivic, Archie Bunker's daughter, who was married to Rob Reiner's character Michael Stivic. Struthers won two Emmys and received three additional nominations for her role.

More recently, she starred as Babette on the CW hit, "Gilmore Girls." The actress will continue her role as Roz in "9 to 5? through Sept. 15.
