Accused Alec Baldwin Stalker Leaves New York City Court in Handcuffs

French Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin, accused of stalking the actor Alec Baldwin, was handcuffed and removed from a New York City court following a hearing Tuesday.
Sabourin’s former attorney, Maurice Sercarz, told ABCNews.com that Sabourin was called into court after he filed a request to withdraw as her attorney. When the hearing was over, Sabourin was rearrested and taken into custody.
Authorities did not tell Sabourin why she was under arrest, said Sercarz.
Sercarz said he filed a motion for withdrawal from the case in October. He said his client would not listen to his legal advice regarding a protective order, preventing her from contacting Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Thomas. He said she also could not pay his legal fees.
Charged earlier with stalking and harassing the “30 Rock” actor, Sabourin said the allegations that she sent countless emails to Baldwin about his then-fiancee had been damaging to her reputation, according to the New York Daily News.
“Alec Baldwin wife Hilaria REAL name:Hilary Hayward-Thomas.LIED wile call 911 on me w her false name.I’ll file 4felony,” Sabourin tweeted before her court appearance.
Sabourin was first arrested in April after sending frequent emails and texts to Baldwin. In the messages, Sabourin told Baldwin that she loved him and wanted to have his child, according to the New York Post.
Sercarz said Sabourin will be arraigned on new charges.

Why on Earth would anyone want to stalk Baldwin? Maybe for the money but that’s it. If you really wanted to cure her stalking then let her have him. 2 weeks alone with him and she’d be running for the door. I am being very generous giving her 2 weeks. Old saying, be careful what you wish for you may actually get it. Yes she can stalk me as well if she wants to.

so authorities can do nothing for teens that are cyber-bullied but they can arrest Hilary for saying she loves Alec? If only these teens were famous.

Sabourin is obviously mentally ill. I mean, Alec Baldwin?? He’s decent as a comedic actor but it’s only a matter of time before his current wife ditches him because of his well publicized violent temper.

A restraining order would forbid her from contacting him in any manner, including using a go-between.

I’m not a fan of unconstitutional restraining orders.
She doesn’t have the right to stalk – she does have the right – or, rather *should*, have the right as anyone else to post moronic statements about celebrities.
If she’s being arrested over a tweet – that’s ridiculous, just ignore it, like you ignore the million others.
If however, she’s taking up real stalking again – actually calling and harassing the people, then of course, she’ll have to be arrested. The story doesn’t say – maybe because the author really doesn’t care.
But for some of us, a few facts tossed into a story here and there, are desirable.
