Madonna Brings Chains, Gun to New York Concert

Madonna may be over 50, but she still has that "wow" factor.

The 54-year-old has never been subtle with her performances but she shocked the crowd during her concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden Monday night as part of her MDNA tour. In published photos of the concert, the singer is seen stripping off her pants to reveal fishnet stockings and a black, thong bustier. She then danced around stage, rolling in money and straddling the pianist. At one point she is even seen bounding herself in chains.

The money on stage was donations from the crowd, MTV News reported.

"This money is not for me," Madonna said during the concert, according to MTV. "We are collecting money for victims of Hurricane Sandy so please feel free to be generous as I freeze my a** off."

The diva then traded in her fishnets and bustier for a black leather outfit and a gun. The singer carried the gun around stage as she performed, even licking it at one point. Madonna is also seen pointing the gun directly at her head at one point and appeared to be crying while she sang.

Madonna also donned an updated version of her signature cone bra, pairing it with pinstripe pants and a shirt and tie.

But the night was a family affair. The singer brought her son, Rocco Ritchie, on stage to dance with her. The 12-year-old, who wore an all black outfit with combat boots and a bandana, looked like he was having a great time on stage as his mother sang with her arm around him.

Fans took to Twitter after the concert to express their love for the singing diva.

"Best. Concert. Of. Lifetime # MDNA # Madonna # Queen," one fan tweeted.

"The Madonna concert was beyond amazing! I want to do that over and over," another said.

But not everyone at Madison Square Garden Monday night loved Madonna's lewd stage antics.

"Sadly for the first time EVER I walked out of a Madonna concert. Oh lady what happened to you. Sad sad sad," one concert-goer tweeted Monday night.

Madonna came under fire this summer when she purposefully exposed her breast at a concert in Istanbul, Turkey. She was booed at her concert in New Orleans last month when she urged fans to vote for President Obama. Two days after the election, she was booed again in Detroit when she expressed her excitement about the president being re-elected.

The singer will play another show at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.
