The reason this wasn't convincing is that Lindsey is herself and with the interview of Dr. Phil of her mother, we understand the dysfunction. She doesn't talk to her Dad, some wonder if his arrest in the south were set ups, it is time for this young lady to stop her grandosity and realize she gave herself to drugs and she now has to pay the reaper, nothing there Lindsey, take a seat in the third row.

Every once in a while, an actor comes along in a biographical film, and they become truly immersed in their work to a point in which the audience can no longer decipher the actor from the character. Lindsay Lohan is not one of those actors. You are no Ben Kingsley in "Gandhi," sweet pea.

I had the misfortune of watching this "film" yesterday. I guess you should only expect so much from a Lifetime film.

Most scenes probably were no longer than a minute. My reaction was "Oh, A NEW SCENE!...and now, it's gone." about every 30 seconds. There wasn't much in the way of plot development. Within the first fifteen minutes, Liz & Dick go from hating each other to making out in front of the cast and crew of Cleopatra. How did it happen? Nobody knows...

Then, there's the score. A very odd score. Here you are, watching two people running back and forth between each other's trailers, and they've got cutesy music playing in the background, as if what they're doing is completely innocent and childlike. THEY'RE HAVING AN AFFAIR! Imagine if your spouse cheated on you, Lifetime made a movie about it, and they framed the affair using THAT music. Cut that stuff off!

There was something strange about watching Lindsay and Grant Bowler on screen . There was something like a seven-year age gap between Richard Burton and Liz Taylor. Almost two decades separate Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler. Maybe it was the makeup, but there was a gross May-December, almost pedophilic relationship vibe that was comfortable to watch.

On the topic of makeup, does LiLo's makeup artist know how to apply foundation? In many scenes, I was distracted by her forehead, which was significantly darker than her cheeks. And the eye makeup was amateurish at best. Liz's makeup did not look like someone's five-year-old took a blunt crayon to her face.

I wanted to give Lilo the benefit of the doubt, but her "acting" was awful. My guess is that the director dyed her hair and said "Okay, Lindsay, do what you do best. Roll cameras," and let her tear the hell out of the place. The husky voice was not AT ALL Liz. The only word I could use to describe her line delivery was "superficial." She said her lines as if she were reading a grocery list - quickly, without emotion, seemingly without trying to channel Ms. Taylor at all.

I have been laughing at the celeb media that have been trying to boost this garbage up like it will be the best movie ever made. lol

Liz and Dick was obviously, nothing to do with Liz and Dick. The anticipation of this movie was hyped strictly due to the fact that Lindsay Lohan would draw. Sadly, I thought she was not the right person to play this role. Although, they share the same hardships and substance abuse, that's where it ends. When I have to work very hard at using my imagination to make Lindsay seem believable, then, that's not a good sign. She sounded nothing like Liz. She looked nothing like Liz. And sadly, I feel she robbed the poor sole that played Dick an opportunity to really shine. Honestly, I felt sorry for him. I think it's time for Hollywood to accept the fact that this girl is not what she's cracked up to be as an actress. She should cut her losses and be satisfied with the fact that she was a great CHILD actress, but, that's where it ends. If Hollywood is so hell bent on reviving this poor girl, then, put her to the real test. Hire her and put her to work for her talent and acting skills. She needs to audition and prove herself like every other artist in that industry. So far, all I see is a lack of talent and acting skills. Maybe, she needs to work on qualifying for a role based on her performance rather than her reality drama status. There were plenty of actresses that would have played that role beautifully. Don't rob talented, hardworking, deserving actors of jobs just to sensationalize a lost and confused washed up drama queen. You're not doing her any favors. I can't believe that producers and directors would waste all that time and money to cash in on a girl who should be starting right back at the bottom like everyone else trying to break into the movie industry. And what bothers me even more, is, that, they not only wasted my time but insulted the intelligence of the entire public by depriving us of a story that could have been surgically executed by any half decent actress. It's a total insult to the most recognized and respected artists in the industry. This adaption of Liz and Dick should have been presented accurately and with the honest intention of highlighting a truly outstanding period of Hollywood's most recognized artists. It's a part of history. I hope that one day, a serious attempt at bringing the true story of Liz and Dick is presented by serious and responsible Directors and Producers, as well as legitimate professionals to properly play the roles, with the good intent and pride that should have been executed to begin with. I pray that Lindsay can clean up her act and make a real come back before it's too late. I wish her the best , but only she can save her from herself.

Sorry. We don't care what you think...most people will and are perfectly capable of making up their own minds. Geez...I'm so sick of people telling everyone how they should think. Maybe you should get off your high horse and write something constructive.

From what I've seen of the movie, the acting is way off and the casting was just wrong from the beginning. Not to be mean, it's possibily a generational thing, but women in that era had to ooze sexuality, it was more of an attitude because they were usually fully dressed and the censors didn't allow what is allowed today. Taylor was sexy, beautiful and she could act. Lindsay doesn't even come close.
